Winterization Tips
Winter, 2008 - 2009

Disconnect outside water hoses. If left connected, water in the hoses can freeze and expand causing faucets and connecting pipes inside your home to freeze and break.

Make sure outside faucets aren't dripping or leaking. Cover outside faucets with an insulation kit.

If you have a shut-off valve for your outside faucet, make sure to turn it off for the winter.

Insulate pipes in unheated areas of your house by using pipe insulation and/or heat tape.
